I need a chance to review data, but a cursory analysis of trends would suggest that banding will come to fruition in a big way with this storm. Consequently, I think a more general, heavier base accumulation will be observed…more like 2-4″ rather than 1/2-2″. In addition to that, favored locations (yet to be named to protect the innocent) will probably great 6+”.
Temps are warm, so it will take a while to cool down. Nothing dramatic thru the afternoon and early evening.
China Grove’s yards, trees, decks, etc are white. Nothing on the roads. Still snowing. Temp is below freezing. TV says we’ll get 2″-5″. More Snow Cream! Yum! Dad’s happy!
